25.4 million people are in need of humanitarian aid in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

live below the poverty line
Each year, Humanitarian Need International (HNI) cultivates an environment of safety, provides essential resources, and builds a community for 200-500 orphans, vulnerable children, and their guardians in the remote village of Kitindi, DRC.
Bridging the 188-Mile Gap
98% of Kitindi residents are women and children with the closest hospital being 188 miles away (302km). There are limited roadways and access to electricity is scarce. The Kalumbula family is bridging the gap by providing essential services for children and their families that would otherwise be inaccessible to most. This includes clean water, uniforms for school, meals, hygiene products, job training, and other educational support.
“When you educate a man, you empower an individual. When you educate a woman, you empower a nation.”
- Dr. James Emmanuel Kwegyir-Aggrey (Ghana)
